The face markings of the watch were applied using both printing and vapor deposition procedures that enable beautiful gradations between the white and blue.The 12 o'clock hour marker, second hand hub, and crown top are decorated with recrystallized blue sapphires, creating the distinctive OCEANUS look of sparkling elegance. The indicator that runs from 1 to 3 o'clock on the dial uses mother of pearl, the color of which represents polar stratospheric clouds. The base model is the GPS hybrid radio-controlled solar-powered OCW-G1100, which helps to ensure accurate timekeeping both indoors and out.* 2 Indoors, where GPS signals cannot be received, the watch receives a time calibration signal. In areas where time signal reception is not possible, it uses GPS for time adjustment. This hybrid system keeps time settings accurate and stable for unmatched timekeeping reliability. A high-speed dual coil motor is used to drive the local time dial at 6 o'clock.
